It’s Not Your Hormones…

Let’s talk a little about hormones.

According to Grand Review Research, the global hormone replacement industry was valued at USD 21.8 billion dollars in 2022 with an expected growth.

What this tells me is that the conventional model of “treating” dysregulated hormones is not working. If it were truly curing the hormone epidemic then this number would be expected to decrease.

The truth is, YOU DON’T HAVE BAD HORMONES!

Hormones are actually messengers receiving information from somewhere else in the body that may not be working properly. When patients come to me for help with their hormones, the first thing we always do is address their stressors. Is there something causing resistance on this individual’s system that may be causing hormone dysregulation.

I am always asking the question, “why?”

So what does this look like…..

  • Does this patient have blood sugar dysregulation?
  • What is their lifestyle like?
  • Do they have a sluggish liver?
  • Does this person struggle with gut health?
  • How do you sleep?
  • What type of toxins may be causing resistance

Synthetically replacing a hormone that may be low is not solving the underlying problem(s).

In our office, we never start with hormone testing. That may come later down the line but we first start with testing the body for resistance markers.

This is why I utilize the epigenetic hair analysis in my office and have each patient complete a very thorough intake. The 35 page report from the hair analysis and information from the patient intake provides me with a full picture of what is happening in an individual’s body and WHY it’s happening.

If you’re struggling with your health or just looking to optimize your overall well-being, this epigenetic hair analysis a great way to get an overall idea of your health.
